I feel pretty good today.
I’m even having a cup of coffee.
This morning Wekku, the Finnish guy who lives in a Bali
village told me some stories about living there while he smoked his morning
cigarette. When his two daughters were
born, the family took the placenta and planted each in the garden. They think of it as the daughter’s sister
spirit. Every day, his mother in law waters
them and lights a tribute to each.
Every morning Bernard’s wetsuit is in a pile. A wet, smelly mess of neoprene. Ewww.
Who wants to put that on their body first thing in the morning? The rest of us take the time to hang ours up
in hopes that it dries out as much as possible. I think it would be so funny one evening to
get the pile, dry it out and then fold it perfectly and put a bow around it for
Bernard to find first thing in the morning.
On the night dive I found my very own Okenia
rhinorma!!!! Woo hoo!!! It is so small. I saw the eggs first, then I saw it crawling
in the sand. I tried to show it to
someone else. I found David and showed
it to him but everyone else was miles away!
