In August, I was honored to be part of a research trip with Shedd Aquarium to The Bahamas. We collected data on conch, lobster and coral.
Although I brought my camera, there really wasn't much opportunity to use it except for three very short dives; one night dive and two day dives.
On the night dive, I was able to photograph four species of nudis! During the dives to measure conch, I found many more Elysia crispata and one other Flabellina I would have loved to photograph. One of the researchers also found a sea hare and many Chelidonoras.

Another big highlight was that I found a tiny green frogfish among the sea grass. I definitely would have loved to photograph that guy!
On one of our last conch-measuring dives we also had an old turtle we named "Tamara" try to sabotage our dive. She tried to swam away with our dive flag and almost bit the line. She also stared us down at the safety stop where we got a good look at her barnacles.
