Nudi Selfie

Bree now has pink eye in the other eye so she didn’t dive all day.  Again.  I’d be so frustrated.

Francis has taken to getting naked on the dive deck.  Well, he is French.

I took a selfie with a nudi today and posted it to Facebook.  Dave thinks it’s hilarious.

I learned something today from Dave.  When we refer to the “naked lungs” on a nudibranch, we are supposed to say Gill not Gills.  I've been saying it wrong all this time.

Our boat was not working this morning, so Mike had to bring in a boat from another operator.

I surfaced really far away on the first dive and had quite a swim back.

There is so much trash on the dive sites but the critters seem to love it!  I have this weird belief that underwater creatures are attracted to people things.

Kevin gave an awesome talk about slugging on all seven continents.  So cool!!!

He asked me to be the picture taker during his talk.  I took one of Pirjot sleeping through it and one of Bree exclaiming!  She asked Kevin to go slower… so she could fully enjoy his photos.

Oh yeah, and Dave said he would share his power point presentations with us.  Hooray!!!

Mike has a high end cabinet in the photo room to put all his camera gear in so it doesn’t get hurt by the moisture.  Wow.  I’ve never seen that before.

Lindz and I are comparing our reading lists.  She recommends reading a book called Bonk.  I told her about GoodReads.com.

Craig talked about collecting samples from nudibranchs and he said that best place to take it from is the tail.

Jim is being sneaky and starting rumors – like which boat has the most nudis and that someone is questioning the accuracy of the data “that it has been manipulated”!

I’ve been playing around with the concept of a Nudi Council where a few people rule on a nudibranch identification.  They might have a gavel and everything with a little nudibranch on it.
