Super Fresh

I am about halfway through my trip.

There was a really rough storm overnight and things were falling down from the trees and hitting really hard on the roof.  I hope that my bungalow is strong enough to take it.

Alex figured out that the WiFi problem is that we are running out of the data allowance so she needs to keep extending it.  I’m sure I am contributing to that with my Lightroom photo sync.

Our first two dives were “super fresh”.  It went down to 74 degrees Fahrenheit.  OMG.  This is a big difference.  I am glad I have my hood and hooded vest.

Sam is feeling sick, so Tuomas had a boat all to himself and dove the sharks which is like 40 minutes away.  He saw 15 hammerheads.

There is one little nudibranch called Doris pectin.  It’s funny.  I feel like she would be the office secretary.  Doris Pectin brought in some brownies today!  That could totally be someone’s name.

I think I finally broke in my Sea Gods wetsuit.  I did my afternoon dive without ankle weights.

I have been sharing all my favorite retailers with Alex and Lauren.  Alex even bought some stuff from Red Bubble for Christmas gifts.

At dinner, they served the BIGGEST portion of grilled chicken.  It was delicious but I had to give half of mine to Max.  We talked a little bit about Divers Alert Network at dinner and I told the story about the woman on the Kona Aggressor who had a hole in her heart.  And as we were running her in for the skin bends, we saw a whale shark.

Here are todays shivering slugs:

144 - Chromodoris annae

145 - Jorunna rubescens

146 - Phyllidiopsis krempfi

147 - Thecacera sp. 8

148 - Hypselodoris infucata

149 - Tenellia sp. (yellow cerata with orange then white tips) with a parasite on it

150 - Phyllodesmium sp. (Phyllodesmium with orange in the cerata)

151 - Tenellia sp. 79
