There was lots of current on the morning dives. At one point I had to kick really hard to get under the overhang. I did find some interesting slugs though. On the second dive, I found this white thing that might have been a white Sagaminopteron but it turned out to be just schmutz. But there was something crawling around on top of it! At first I thought it was a nudi but Timo looked at it with me and we think it is some sort of crustacean.
After lunch I showed Sam pictures of all the nudis found so far. She wants the Nudis 101 presentation at some point.
On the evening dive, my regulator stopped working properly. It has a bit of a positive flow. Which made me run out of air ten minutes sooner than usual.
Uri is going to have a look at it for me and probably replace it with one of theirs for the duration of the trip. It’s time to buy a new one.
We traded stories at dinner. I asked what someone might not know about you. My example was that I used to play sousaphone in college. And I was terrible at it. Max’s was that he left home at 17 for Greece. He worked a bartender job and led the party lifestyle there. I could totally see that.
Here are my slugs for today:
158 - Chromodoris dianae
159 - Chromodoris lochi
160 - "Taringa" halgerda
161 - Tritonia sp. 9
162 - Melibe sp. 1
163 - Facelinid sp.
