Three Little Claps

Today is election day in Indonesia, so the crew needs some time off to go do that.  We are still diving but leaving 15 minutes early.  We will still have a normal afternoon/evening of diving.

Chris the pearl farmer came diving with us today.  He was born in Canada and grew up in Australia.  He is married to an Australian and they run the pearl farm.  Because it is voting day, they don’t have work… so he came diving.

In the afternoon, I jumped the house reef.  I found the BIGGEST octopus hanging out under the cement block mooring.  It was just sitting there watching me.  I went to take some video and couldn’t figure out how to do it so I hit a red button where the video used to be on my old camera.  BAD IDEA.  It put me into some weird RAW capture mode and I couldn’t figure out how to get out of it.  I continued the dive anyway and eventually it worked again.

On the night dive we went to Mucky Mosque in the middle of a thunderstorm.  Two rhinopias, Two frogfish on the line.  And more nudibranchs than I could ever want.  And we stayed down forever.  It was so amazing that at the end I did three little claps and said "that was awesome" and the crew and the Russians all started clapping too!

I was feeling a bit more myself at dinner.  I interacted with some guests and told some dive stories and at one point played the 30 second dance party thing.  I even sat through the briefing.  We are headed to the Jetty tomorrow!  Woot!!!
