I was in the very last row middle seat of the domestic flight to Kupang. I was able to get my rollerbag up on the overhead but I had to do it in row 20.
My favorite little coffee shop in Kupang isn’t there anymore. But I did get a capucino and some pastries.
On my very last flight it was really small and I sat in 7A. I finished my fourth book:
Between the Devil and the Deep: One Man's Battle to Beat the Bends by Mark Cowan Nov 24, 2024
I had my own private transfer to Alami Alor. I met the two who are running the resort now. He is from Spain and she is from England.
I got a room close to the camera room. Woot! I think I brought everything I need. I don’t think I forgot anything.
I unpacked, then showered. I could barely stand up in the shower.
But in general, I feel pretty good. I don’t feel as tired as I did after last year’s trip.
I laid down for a bit to see if I could make it to lunch… and I did.
Alex and Uri are running the resort now. I think they were being interviewed when I was here last year. Timo is still here. He was all ready to bring out Josh (my little figurine guy). Josh survived ALL YEAR here at the resort… and just this morning, the cat chomped off his leg. Oh well.
Timo and I also exchanged some nudi news. I am so excited to get back in the water.
I woke up just before dinner but I wasn’t hungry and I certainly wasn’t feeling all that social. I went to charge my batteries over in the photo room and set up a lot of my camera. Then I came over to the dining area to just get some ice and a banana.
When I got back to my room I found a spider on my curtains. Not just a little baby one I could kill. A fast moving one that was the size of a coffee mug!
Then halfway through the night, I went to go pee outside. Yes, the bathrooms are outside. I heard, then saw something… a crab was scurrying about. How did he even get in there? I actually feel bad for him. How is he going to get out?
