Red Crab, Before and After

Well, I made it through a 15 hour flight, a small layover in Taipei and then a short 2 hour flight to Manila.  I didn't know to fill out the immigration and customs via a QR code, so that took a bit and then finding a cab was crazy (I was sent to three different locations)... but I finally made it to the Holiday Inn Express and took a nap.

I met Francis and Pirjo in the lobby and we went for our favorite dinner at the Red Crab in the mall across the street.

It was delicious but a LOT of work for a little meat.  It is quite a process with bibs and gloves and a lemon hand rinse afterward.

Still Alive:

Then we hit the ATMs.  Oh man.  The first one did not work for me.  But the second one did.  Then we didn't have many small bills for all the porters tomorrow, so we hit this little exchange for some and they didn't charge a fee.  But when I went in (after Pirjo) they said "this is it".  In other words, don't send any more of your friends!

I turned around and looked at the escalator.  Check out the sign for "No Crocs".  I guess they actually have fashion police here in the Philippines.

We hit the 7-11 on the way home.  I liked this funny little clock they had.
